** Killing in the Name is a song that I've always enjoyed. I don't quite remember where I first heard it, but I played it four years ago live with my band "The Travelers". This was one of our favorites and it sounded so good live with my Schecter coming through one of those Ampeg 450 Watt combo amps. The lead singer at the time was a senior in high school and didn't want to offend her parents by saying the F word, which I understand. I don't like to cuss/curse in general, but she ended up singing it. I think it was the crowd's favorite song of the set. We also played "Your Love", "highway to hell", "You Give Love a Bad Name", "We're Not Gonna Take It", and I think we fumbled through "eye of the tiger" as well. It was a blast and I can't wait to get back out and play live again.
Original Bassist: Tim Commerford
As far as tabbing goes, it was generally pretty easy. Not a lot happening in the song, and not a lot of variation. The hardest part was the positioning of the chorus and the fills, which weren't that bad once I found these live videos.
