I love octopuses and probably so do you! But really, what makes the octopus so cool?
There are plenty of reasons to find the octopus fascinating. Here is a little video of a common reef octopus we encountered in Koh Bon, Thailand on a recent dive.
Did you know?
1- Octopuses have Blue blood, 3 hearts and 9 brains! 2 of their hearts are pumping blood to the gills, while the third distributes to the rest of the body.
2 -Octopus is a master of camouflage. As you will be able to see in this video, it has millions of small cells called chromatophores which have the particularity of changing color and shape instantly.
3 -Octopuses are faster than Olympic swimmers! They can propel themselves underwater at speeds of 45 km / h.
