Many Catholic Saints (e.g. Padre Pio, Claude de la Columbiere, St. Faustina) stress the importance of having full confidence that NOTHING happens that is not God's will, and that Divine Providence is absolutely in control. How can that be reconciled with the Catholic teaching about the absolute free will that man has? What is a good Catholic to do with this apparent irreconcilable difference?
