Well, hip flexor tension is often a result of tight hip extensors. Yes, the opposite muscle group! The hamstrings and glute max are short and gripping, tucking the pelvis under, pulling the hip flexors long, and creating pain. Lots of sitting and slouching in our modern society, especially for folks with desk jobs, is creating this pain pattern more and more.
