The Surface Pro 7 is a great 2 in 1 laptop. I have the core i5 model with 8gb of ram and the performance has been excellent. I can get all my work done without any issues.

I am loving the improved charging speed. The surface pro 7 can charge from 0 to 80% in an hour and fully charge in 1 hour and 45 minutes. This means I can get my surface to charge faster between classes if I ever forget to charge it.

I also like that you can now charge it through the USB c port. Make sure the USB c charger you have outputs 15v to 3A. The surface pro 7 will take in 15v to ~1.7 or 20v to ~1.3. Just make sure the power bank says 15v to 3A or 20v to 2A. To be clear the surface pro 7 charges on 25W through the USB C port. The Surface Pro X charges on 45Wats at about 15V to 2.9A. They will both take 60W and slowly go down once they reach about 60%.

Not every charger will charge it. I really like that I can now charge it with my 45watt power bank with a USB c cable without needing to carry the USB c to surface connect cable as I did on the surface pro 6. This is great for when I take it to places where there aren't any outlets.

If you are a college student and planning to go digital with your notes I highly recommend the surface pro. This might be your best investment ever. The surface pro is ultra-lightweight and versatile. Compared to the other 2 in 1 laptop, the surface pro is one of the lightest out there, that is of course because of the small screen size. The compact size is great for putting on a small desk and still have some room to put other things on the desk. I can easily fit it in my backpack without adding so much weight like my 3.61lb. 15 inch Spectre X360. I loved that laptop, but it took up too much room on my classroom desk.

For the storage, I have gotten by fine with 128gb so that is the model I went with. If you need more storage you can put in a micro-sd card behind the kickstand. So there is very little need to shell out more money on the higher storage option unless you plan to download a ton of programs.

I have really been enjoying drawing on the surface pro 7. I know a lot of artist prefer wacom and some go as far as saying N-trig is bad, but I think otherwise. I did a speed art to showcase how well N-trig works on the surface pro 7.
