In this video I discuss the question of which philosophical assumptions, paradigms and worldviews suit mixed methods research. Since mixed methods research involves mixing qualitative and quantitative methods, which are often associated with interpretivism and positivism (which are quite contrasting philosophical worldviews), which worldview do we choose? I also discuss pragmatism as a philosophical stance that may help us address this issue.
