The fishing village of Nondalton, Alaska sits 14 miles away from the giant proposed Pebble Mine site. Water from the site migrates into the lakes and streams surrounding the village, supporting the millions of sockeye salmon that spawn in the area and the natives that live off the fish. The residents are worried that an operating mine in this wet place will forever destroy the environment and the salmon runs they depend on.
