Find the surface area of a Cone
How to find the surface area of a cone. Finding the surface area of a cone involves finding the lateral area and adding this to the base area.
The lateral area of a cone is the sides of the cone.
You can find the lateral area using Pi times radius times slant height.
In many cones, you can use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the slant height.
The base area of a cone can be found using pi times radius squared.
Add these two measurements together and you have the surface area of a cone.
