But that doesn't happen—its name is ego. Sometimes, finding peace is possible when one becomes humble. One should be like VidyaSagar. He earned for himself and donated. The money of the miser is meaningful to him. No one can stay in this world without working. Some are doing good deeds while others are doing bad deeds. Whoever wants to deceive others, they deceive themselves. Character is paramount. Living together reduces sorrow.
Those who fear do not progress in their family or anywhere else. It contracts the mind. Mothers love more than anyone else in the world. Family members may come and go, but a mother's departure cannot be found. Mothers endure so much for their sons. They work hard and come home tired, yet when they talk to their children, they feel rejuvenated. Those parents who nurture their children with love and devotion, what favour can others do for them? Lord Sri Krishna, Lord Sri Rama, Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Gautam Buddha, Swami Shankaracharya, Thakur Sri Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda all respected their parents and followed their orders.
If you do bad deeds, you will be afraid and sad. If you do good deeds, you will be fearless. Paths and methods of work may vary, but the goal is the same for everyone. So, without hesitation, we should strive to align our paths and methods of work. It's very important to stay united like brothers. Quarrelling happens when people live together. Holding grudges is bad. Thakur Sri Ramakrishna said, "The stains of seven colours and water are temporary."
There are two types of unsuccessful people. One type thinks about work but doesn't do it. The other type does the work but doesn't think about it. Do not break friendship with people to earn money because establishing friendship is an important means of earning money. Due to character, many respectable individuals have lost their respect, while many unworthy individuals have gained immense respect. Whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right in both cases. Study in such a way that it seems you have no time, you are immortal. Lead your life in such a way that it seems you might die tomorrow.
The individuals of low moral character are often resort to using vulgar or inappropriate language as a means of attacking others or achieving their goals. It implies that those lacking in integrity may rely on verbal abuse or foul language to manipulate situations or demean others.
The primary cause of suffering and distress in life is an overwhelming attachment to material possessions, worldly desires, and temporal pleasures. It suggests that when individuals become excessively focused on worldly pursuits, they often experience dissatisfaction, disappointment, and sorrow.
The detrimental impact of ill-gotten wealth amassed through dishonest means. It suggests that the prosperity acquired through deceit and unethical practices not only harms the dishonest individuals themselves but also brings about negative consequences for society and the environment, leading to widespread suffering and chaos.
The significance of overcoming harmful or negative habits is the highest form of achievement. It suggests that breaking free from detrimental patterns of behaviour or thought is essential for personal growth, self-improvement, and lasting success.
The individuals lacking integrity tend to project their own deceitful nature onto others, assuming that everyone behaves in a similarly dishonest manner. It suggests a lack of trust and skepticism towards others due to the dishonest person's own unethical tendencies.
