Sega's 3D polygon journey would begin in 1992 with the release of the Sega CG Board, otherwise known as the Sega Model 1. It wouldn't produce a ton of games, but what it did was create the road map for damn near everything Sega would do afterwards.

Episode Notes:
1. Games Covered:
Virtua Racing
Star Wars Arcade
Virtua Fighter
Wing War
Sega Net Merc
2. All the Model 1 games in this episode were played via MAME. All of them were playable to some extent, but all of them also had numerous problems that made them pretty far from being accurate.
3. Dennou Senki Net Merc never made it out of Japan, and to my knowledge, was never actually released commercially on a wide scale. It was mainly something Sega showed off during expo events.
4. In this episode during the Virtua Fighter segment, I say that the game "lit Japanese arcades up like a nuclear bomb". This can be taken as insensitive given Japanese history, and I apologize to anyone who may feel offended by the content. I assure you it was not my attempt at being funny or making a pun.
5. I recommended the PS2 versions of Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary and Sega Ages Virtua Racing as physical alternatives to Model 1 games. There are digital options available of Virtua Racing coming to the Switch as well.
6. Whenever speaking about Sega's arcade heritage during this time, I try and keep some perspective and include their competition. I firmly believe without Namco pushing them as hard as they did, we wouldn't have gotten Sega at its best in 1990's.
7. If you ever run across Star Wars Arcade in the wild, please do yourself a favor and play it. They are rare these days, but still quite the thrill ride. Hard as hell too.
8. Ending song is from Batman for the Sega Genesis.
Opening SEEEGGGAAAA jingle from Astal for the Sega Saturn.
9. There is some dispute whether or not Model 1 games ran at 60fps(any of them). I would love to read anything you guys can find that definitively states which. I know DF has mentioned things about it, but the videos they show clearly use MAME as their source material, and that alone makes me second guess it.
EDIT: Thanks to a commenter, here is the direct proof of 30fps on the Model 1.
