In this episode of Site Crash, we met up with our friend The Spray Foam Guy to show him the Dewalt DCN890 Brushless Concrete nailer.
This nailer worked perfectly in both the poured sections and a section of existing block wall.
There are a few types of pins available, but the basic choices are, a short reduced diameter shank pin for hard concrete and steel, and a standard diameter pin for soft concrete, which you can get in lengths up to 2.25" long.
Dewalt's concrete pinner works off a flywheel design, so there are no fumes from fuel, or powder shots to purchase. You can get up to 600 shots off a 5.0 pack.
The tool comes in two versions, one with a reduced height magazine for drywallers/steel stud use, but it is essentially the same gun, and you can choose to swap the magazine on the type 2 guns if you choose.
