We have been fighting against the Adoption Incentive Program since its implementation. We've filed suit in federal court against the AIP, we've worked with our rescue partners to save countless lives, we've documented hundreds of AIP horses and burros in kill pens, and we brought this pipeline to slaughter to a national audience when our investigation led to a front-page New York Times report.
The AIP is another symptom of 50 years of failed management by the BLM. It's past time to change and it's time to abandon the cash incentives.
