Enjoy this organic natural lip balm! Simple, natural, and easy to create! It has a long shelf life and works well to moisturize the skin on the lips. Our recipe utilizes pure ingredients that you can feel good about putting on your body and on our children's bodies. I love that you can control the quality and scent, yet at the very same time, you get much more bang for your buck!

What You Will Need To Make It

1/4 cup of each:

beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil (Use equal amounts of each to increase quantity as desired – be sure to increase essential oil quantity as well)

20 drops essential oil (optional – more or less as preferred)

suggested oils: grapefruit, sweet orange, peppermint, lavender, vanilla, chamomile

Prepare containers for quick pour once ingredients are completely melted.

Using either a double boiler or a sauce pot with bowl, add the beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil.

Melt over medium heat.

Once melted, remove from heat. If using essential oils, add them now and stir to combine.

Use a heat protector to hold the bowl and pour the mixture through the funnel into your awaiting containers.

Remember the liquid will set quickly so make sure to pour it right after removing from the heat.

Let the balm set at room temperature. It is ready to use once solid!

Tips

To speed the process up, you can place a piece of foil over the top of the bowl if using the saucepan and bowl method.
Prepare containers before melting process, and have heat protective gloves ready for use.
Use balm-style containers or chapstick tubes; always your preference! Using beeswax pellets makes the process easier.
