We have a wonderful NOS (New Old Stock) Bach 72 MLV in stock here at the shop. Comes with all original paperwork and case. We do need to polish it and also record a video for you all out there. It sounds sweet and rich but also is quite versatile!
FYI: MLV means Medium large Vindabona. The Vindabona horns utilize a dual-bore tuning slide which in general gave the horns more of a smoother, conical feel. There are some debates on the proportions in other places as well but in general this is the info I read which summarizes MLV's nicely. "After talking to retired Bach employees including Ken Pettifor. The MLV horns were marketed as a conical bore horn, Darker with the standard 72 bell 43 lead pipe. They were produced also in an even darker 65 Bell. Per all accounts the only difference is the tuning slide. The top section is a 453 enlarging into a 459 crook and lower pipe. The conical portion was a selling point of the marketing dept. I had one that was a great player. one of the easiest horns i have ever played."Thanks again for your support and if you have questions let us know at info@austincustombrass.com.
