There are certain iPhone settings you can turn off or disable without losing functionality. In turn, you will increase your performance and battery life.

Turn off Background Refresh on some apps
Most apps don't need to constantly refresh. So you can actually turn this off for each app. Instead of doing this for your entire phone, change this setting one app at a time.

Location services use a lot of battery power and in most cases, the app does not need access to your location. You can turn this off for each app.
Turn off third-party app tracking
This is an option with iOS 14. A lot of apps track your activity across other apps in order to serve you targeted ads. You can turn this off.
Enable offload unused apps
Most apps are your phone aren't being used. You can easily offload unused apps automatically without having to delete them.
Turn off read receipts, change message history, and enable unknown and spam.
