Every day millions of sardines gather in Moalboal and it is one of the most incredible sights I have ever seen. Known as sardine runs and only found in a handful of places around the world, Moalboal stands out for how cheap and accessible the experience is. The sardines chill less than 50 metres from Panagsana Beach, all you need to do is rent a snorkel for around PHP 200-250 and swim out from the beach! No tours or boats required!
If you have a scuba diving license then even better! Dive just 10 metres down and you can truly see the massive scale of the sardines here!
While you’re in Moalboal, don’t forget the other must-do activity here – canyoneering at the famous Kawasan Falls!
