He led the Kukatja people to the rock hole, and they were saved from dying of thirst. From that day forward, the rock hole became a sacred site for the Kukatja people, and they would visit it to offer their thanks to Luurnpa and the land.

Initially, the mission was located on a site that was selected by the Bishop but later found to be unsuitable. The mission was then relocated to its current location in Balgo Hills in 1965, now known as Wirrimanu.
