How to select the highest or lowest value in excel using function.

In this quick tutorial you will learn how to find highest and lowest value in Microsoft Excel 2010 with function.

Greetings and welcome to Excel 10 Tutorial. I am using Microsoft excel 2010 and I am going to use Excel functions in this tutorial. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Open workbook.
Step 2: Select a cell and write =Max(Cell value) to find the highest number.
Step 3: Select a cell and write =Min(Cell value) to find the lowest number.
Step 4: Press “Enter”

That’s it you got the highest and lowest values in Microsoft excel 2010 using two functions. For your convenience here are the functions.

Max Function: =MAX()
Min Function: =MIN()

Inside the () you’ll have the write the cell value from where you are searching for the highest/lowest value.
