A team of the Enforcement Directorate on January 31 visited Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s residence to question him in the alleged land scam case. CM Soren is appearing before ED at his residence to record his statement in an alleged land scam case. He had been questioned by the ED for seven hours on January 20 after evading previous summons from the agency. This is the tenth summons issued to the Jharkhand Chief Minister, by the ED. There was heavy police deployment around the Chief Minister's residence in Ranchi ahead of ED questioning.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
