The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance identifying and locating a man wanted in an Assault investigation.
On Monday, November 12, 2018, at 1:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to an Assault call at a restaurant in the Lansdowne Avenue and Queen Street area.
It is alleged that:
- a man, 44, entered a restaurant in the area and hostile comments were exchanged with another man sitting inside
- the man got up and punched the man, knocking him unconscious to the ground
- he then kicked and stomped on the man's motionless body
- the man was brought to a hospital where he received medical treatment for his injuries
It is further alleged that:
- the suspect then approached one of the employees of the restaurant, pushed him and demanded to have the video erased
- the suspect fled on foot, eastbound from the location
The suspect is described as approximately 30 to 40 years old, medium build with a beard.
A photograph has been released.
