Here's a quick and easy tutorial!
You only need ONE position for the whole-tone scale. Follow along to this video.
We're applying the scale over a G7(#5) chord in this video. The notes contained are:
G A B C# D# F
Basically, this is exactly HALF of the chromatic scale (it contains 6 notes).
