My wife and I noticed that we are having to change batteries to a our roku and Amazon fire stick remotes like once a month

Is this normal?

The roku we use daily. But why are the batteries draining like crazy?

Could it possibly be because of voice commands ?

I remember when tv remote batteries lasted at least a year?
