The plot: The main character of the film, the modest Soviet inventor Alexander Timofeev, constructed a real time machine in his apartment.
When the machine explodes, Shurik loses consciousness and the past, present and fiction mix in his head. Shurik opens a window into the past and together with the manager of Bunshi and the burglar Miloslavsky, they fall into the reign of Ivan the Terrible.
By chance, Tsar Ivan Vasilyevich is replaced by the manager of the Bunsha. The tsar finds himself in modern Moscow. The plot of the film develops both in the past and in the present

Song 1:
We leave with our love the challenges surpassed,
The planet's spinning fast, spinning fast!
The planet's rushing far through the fuss of days,
And the sun, and the sun barely gives loving rays!
The howl of blizzard is strong and downpours lash all day long,
And streets sing loudly songs and the stars go round!
And people don't see each other, passing always each other,
And loosing always each other, however alone forever impound.
There is a task in love and complicated one,
Which will later on make you done, make you done.
If this is what you find then in the fuss of days
It is hard, it is hard to find out the way!
The howl of blizzard is strong and downpours lash all day long,
And streets sing loudly songs and the stars go round!
And people don't see each other, passing always each other,
And loosing always each other, however alone forever impound.
And there is a sacral love that waits on me to clutch,
A divine one and untouched, and untouched.
I'm sure I'll find it soon but in the fuss of days
It is hard, it is hard to find out the way!
The howl of blizzard is strong and downpours lash all day long,
And streets sing loudly songs and the stars go round!
And people don't see each other, passing always each other,
And loosing always each other, however alone forever impound.
Song 2:
Happiness, suddenly knocked at our door.
Is it you, coming in, say "yes" I implore!
Snow fell, rains poured, sunsets were so sheen.
Where so long, where so long, where you have been?
But the door creaked like in a tale,
And my discernment has prevailed.
I've been arguing with fate for years
Only for you standing now near.
Storms have brought me so much pain
And I know this was not in vain.
Everything I faced wasn't vain, certainly on purpose!
You, my dream, came true, don't await the answer
What I was feeling when my life was chancy!
Nothing stops, those who wait, even in a desert.
Just don't lessen, the true value of your precious efforts!
(Now the party time!)
But the door creaked like in a tale
And my discernment has prevailed.
I've been arguing with fate for years
Only for you standing now near.
Storms have brought me so much pain
And I know this was not in vain.
Everything I faced wasn't vain, certainly on purpose!
