This is a full build video of a Eduard 1/48 scale model kit of the Fokker F. I, also known as the prototype of the Fokker Dr. I Triplane. This kit depics the Fokker F. I 3/17 flown by Werner Voss in 23 September 1917, when he fought alone 7 RFC planes until his demise, just hours after his 48th victory. He was 20 years old when he died flying this plane.
The kit
This is a kit manufactured by Eduard, a weekend version complemented with photo-etch parts from a Profipack, plus Aviattic decals for the streak camouflage, and a Coastal Model 1/48 resin figure of Werner Voss.
The kit is a delight to build, and only very minor fittings or seam problems that can be easily fixed. It is very detailed and accurate, and it is in my opinion the best 1/48 Fokker kit in the market, and a must for every World War I enthusiast.
