Hi all. Apologies for the lack of content lately, setting ourselves back on track now, with a fresh visit to London Gatwick yesterday, Britain's second busiest airport. This was one of the highlights of the day and I definitely thought it was worth sharing seperately! This was G-UZHD of whom performed a last second Go Around literally moments before landing, when I say moments the aircraft must of been less than 100ft off the ground! It was definitely something which caught my eye and made me go Wow!
The Go around was caused my an updraft / last minute windshear, which forced the pilots to abort. It was a tad blustery this day as well, with gusts up to 23kts at a nice 135 crosswind. First time I've ever seen a go around properly at Gatwick, quite a common thing here funnily enough with the tight seperations, but this was certainly interesting too see. Shame I couldn't of been closer to of got that TOGA spool up, but ohh well, still an outstanding sight either way.
