Session Learning Objectives:
1) Participants will obtain an overview on the evolution of Primary Healthcare policy from Alma Alta in 1978 to Astana in 2018, and how these policies have been interpreted and implemented
2) Participants will have an understanding of the challenges, threats and opportunities in building a strong and robust primary healthcare system from a global perspective
3) Participants will understand the current global trends in primary healthcare systems design, including who the current stakeholders are and financing committed to building strong PHC systems
