Some key points:
1. Make sure the side that you will roll to will trap the lower arm. For example if you will roll to your right then your right grip is the lower grip. That way you don't run into yourself when bridging and rolling.
2. The opposite arm (the arm not used in point 1) will need to frame as the roll is happening to help in posturing inside the closed guard.
3. The hip of the guard player must be lowered as you step back to create tension in the legs.
