I take it all back! ChatGPT passed the Turing Test! If you watched my previous video, I showed how it failed the test because it mentioned that it was an AI model several times. This time, however, it lied for the first time to disguise itself as a human, thereby passing the Turing Test.
What a time to be alive!
This changes everything. This "thing" indicated intelligence which was science fiction only a few years ago. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the world of Artificial Intelligence.
The future is both exciting and scary at the same time.
ChatGPT defines the Turing Test:
"The Turing Test is a measure of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior that is indistinguishable from that of a human. It was first proposed by the British mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing in 1950. I could be wrong here, but this is what I believe:
The AI exhibited intelligence because it understood the test's constraints and for the first time, lied about its existence. I tried asking it three times, and it confirmed it was a human. And just like what I said in the end, the biggest thing that blew me away was that it told me that it was a machine by itself after the test was concluded, even without instructing it to do so. It understood that by itself, and that is highly suggestive of intelligence

While some AI systems have been able to fool evaluators into thinking they are human in limited cases, no machine has yet passed the Turing Test in a comprehensive and sustained manner.
