Our Chinese painting and calligraphy classes are suitable for those who would like to learn traditional and/or contemporary Chinese painting or calligraphic techniques. Consistent with the philosophies behind Chinese art, we aim to make the Chinese painting and calligraphy classes fun and relaxing so that you can unwind during your busy week.

If you are a newcomer, during your first class our teacher will provide an introduction covering everything you will need to get started with Chinese painting or calligraphy. This will include an explanation of the different materials, a demonstration of how you should hold different brushes, and how to produce basic strokes.

As the Chinese painting classes are arranged on a one to one basis, you will be able to arrange a bespoke timetable and your starting date by booking mutually convenient timeslots directly with us.
