Great clip from the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012).
"I think he (Radagast, The Brown) is a very great wizard, in his own way. He's a gentle soul who prefers the company of animals to others."
And you wonder why Radagast is my fave character in the trilogy :-) Relate! Well, to everything except the "great wizard" part...working on it ;-)
Seriously though, sometimes I do wonder if people like Radagast and I, "gentle souls who prefer animals to people", are "too sensitive for this world." I often feel misunderstood, since guys like me seem so rare (not saying I'm better than others, just "different"). Not everyone can be the hardass/badass type...and that's ok. Not everyone can be a Dwarf ;-) Everyone has their own unique talents, blessings, and gifts as individual beings. Though I know, especially as a guy, there's a lot of pressure to be that way, due to Western cultural/societal norms of masculinity, etc. Can make it tough for people who aren't naturally that way to find their place and succeed. And the "normal" people don't seem to understand.
Well, if people want to judge (like Saruman lol) I think it says more about them. Got nothing to do with drugs, never tried 'em (don't have the connections, too shy), just with being different and seeing the world in our own way. Though, if I am too sensitive for this world, at least I have characters like Radagast to relate to while I'm here :-)
And can I just say...his bunny sled and Rosgobel Rabbits were f'n badass. Schooled them Orcs...did not know who they were messing with lol
