A change in the load-shedding schedule of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro is good news for residents of Port Elizabeth.
The burden is being spread over a larger customer base and residents will now spend less time without electricity.
Now each group on the schedule will have no power for a maximum of two hours per day, effective for stages one to four.
Previously, some areas experienced up to 12 hours of load-shedding during stages three and four or six hours during stages one and two.
