The Quick Wind method is the way to go if you need to take a shot quickly and do not have the time to use your Kestrel/Range card.
By knowing your Quick Wind value beforehand and (guestimating) the distance you are shooting you can calculate on the spot how many wind clicks you need to hold or click. With some practice, it is accurate, fast and no external help such as a kestrel or spotter is needed.
