They've been staging the Chinese food world championships for nearly a quarter of a century - The Netherlands played host to these Championships the first time in Europe.
Over 400 chefs with the highest expertise in Chinese food participated with teams coming from Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands, France, Spain and Korea.
The teams are challenged to prepare six dishes within 2½ hours, from appetizers to main courses and desserts. The results were then judged by a distinguished Chinese culinary panel.
These chefs are at the height of their abilities and fighting for the highest of accolades.
The WCCC is regarded as ‘The Olympic Games of Chinese Cuisine’, and is the international paramount of superior Chinese-style cooking competitions.
After three days of competition cooking, Chinese cuisine has new world champion chefs.
They’re four teachers from Yangzhou University: Tang Jian Hua; Ji Bu Feng; Zhu Zai Qing and He Ziao Ling.
