Samsung KS9500: [ Ссылка ]
This is the WaysToWatch.com review of the Samsung KS9500.
This is the 65” version of this 2016 model, that you can now buy at a discount. It is a smart tv with a unique look.
Samsung KS9500 Design:
Even though this is the second tier of Samsung's line of curved televisions, the first thing you’ll notice is the design. Most television are flat and black, with nothing unique. This curved television has a chrome base and a textured back and without even turning it on, it looks amazing. But does having a curve matter? I’ll answer that a little later.
Samsung KS9500 Connections:
The KS9500 comes with a mini One Connect box. This box is the hub to which you connect all of your HDMI devices. The the One Connect box connects to the KS9500 with one cable. There are 4 HDMI connects and 2 USB inputs on the One connect. Wi fi is built in. This Smart tv recognizes most streaming devices. So for example, when you connect a Roku streaming player the Ks9500 will recognize it as a Roku streaming player and then you can control the roku with the KS9500’s remote.
Samsung KS9500 Remote:
The included remote is well designed and is as simple as they come. It looks and feels great. Samsung has left off most of the typical control buttons because voice control is included. The voice control works well for most searches. There is also an app to control the tv. It has all of the functionality of the included remote, including voice control.
Samsung KS9500 User Interface UI:
The KS9500 has one of the best looking User Interfaces I have ever seen. Accessing apps is simple, logical and appealing. If you have cable tv, it will automatically pull in the schedule.
Samsung KS9500 Apps:
All of the major apps are built in: Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Amazon, and Youtube. It has just about everything except for iTunes.
Samsung KS9500 Audio:
For audio the KS9500 includes two speakers and two woofers that bring a total of 60W, and it supports DTS studio sound and premium sound 5.1. The built in sound is not bad, but of course you will want to at least want to use a decent sound bar.
Samsung KS9500 Image Quality:
The image quality is really good. This tv does not have Samsung’s best screen technology, but it is still impressive. The KS9500 has High Dynamic Range or HDR color. 4K content from Netflix looked good, but shows with HDR were not noticeably better. Now back to the question of whether the curve matters. Yes, it does matter, there are two things to keep in mind. One, the size of the curved tv matters and two, the viewing distances matters as well. For my viewing distance I can’t really appreciate the curve unless the tv is a minimum of 65”. If you are on the fence between curved and flat keep those two factors in mind. The Samsung KS9500 is a good tv, that is almost great. If you want the top of the line look for a TV with OLED screen technology. But there is no doubt that most of us would be happy having the KS9500 in our living room.
