A lot of people have asked me to cover this one, so here it is! Pretty much everything you'll ever need to know about the spelling change from Raiden to Rayden (or, as some erroneously believe, from Rayden to Raiden). This spell change was done to avoid a potential lawsuit, saving Acclaim from being targeted by Seibu Kaihatsu. Were they being overly cautious? Maybe. Then again, maybe not! We do live in an extremely litigious society in the US. Better safe than sorry!
