Ingredients:
Kachki Fish - 200 Gm
Sliced Potato - 1 Pcs
Chopped Onion - 200 Gm
Green Chilli - 5 Pcs
Chopped Tomato - 1 Pcs
Salt - 1 Tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Garlic Powder - 1/2 Tbsp
Mustard Oil - 1 Tbsp + 2 Tbsp
Bay Leaf - 1 Pcs
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Chopped Coriander leaves - 1 Handful
Methods of how to make Kachi mach jhal:
1. At first take 200 gm Kachki Fish, properly cleaned and washed
2. Take a bowl and add 1 big size Fine Chopped Potato,2 bid size Chopped Onion, 4-5 Slit Green Chillies,1 small size Chopped Tomato, 1 tsp Salt (as per taste),1 tsp Cumin Powder, 1 tsp Turmeric Powder,1 tsp Chilli Powder (as per taste), 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, 1/2 tbsp. Garlic Paste,1 tbsp. Mustard Oil and mix well
3. After mixing add Kachki Fish
4. Heat up a pan and add 2 tbsp. Mustard Oil
5. When the oil heats up add Bay Leaf and 1/2 tsp Whole Cumin
6. Fry on medium to high flame for 30 secs
7. Then add the fish-potato-onion mixture
8. Add 1/4 cup Water and close with a lid
9. Cook for 5 mins on medium flame
10. After 5 mins stir little bit
11. Again cover and cook for 5 mins on medium to low flame
12. After 5 mins check if the potato is cooked or not
13. Then cook on high flame while stirring
14. Add a handful of Chopped Coriander
15. Cook for 2 mins on high flame and turn off your oven
16. Serve it hot with Rice
