72 thousand cases pending in Supreme Court
The government and the judiciary are also helpless in finding a solution.
Question
After all, how will the public get justice soon?
The special thing is that according to the data till July 15, 2022, 4,19,79,353 cases are pending in various district and subordinate courts of the country.
The disposal of pending cases in the courts comes under the jurisdiction of the judiciary, but the government has to arrange the infrastructure and the budget for the appointment of appropriate judges.
Law Minister Kiren Rijiju cited the Supreme Court website and National Judicial Data Grid (NZDG) data to say that as on July 1, 2022, 72,062 cases are pending in the Supreme Court. Rijiju informed that 59,45,709 cases are pending in various High Courts as on 15th July 2022.
