Follow physiologist and cycling enthusiast Dr Daniel Brayson on a 4000-km cycling race across Europe in the Transcontinental Race, and explore the effects of such a challenge on the human body.
During the race, Daniel not only recorded a video diary, but he also collected and recorded a host of data such as his cycling performance, blood sugar and sleep duration, to use his cycling adventure as a case study on physiology, and how the body copes with challenges such as fatigue, heat and sustained physical performance.
Check back on Wednesday, 7 March for the next video!
