Performance: Quartet "Yavir"
A Cossack was riding on a troop,
He said: I forgave my little girl,
Farewell, girl, black-browed,
I'm going to someone else's side. |2
Give me, girl, a scarf,
Maybe I will die in battle.
In the dark night they will cover their eyes,
Rest easier in the grave. |2
The girl gave a scarf,
The Cossack died in battle.
Covered the eyes of the dark night,
He rested more easily in his grave. |2
And evil people hardly
They took the unfortunate girl.
There, a poplar is bending in the middle of the field
And to the Cossack grave. |2
