In an unexpected moved, Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan has resigned after 11 days of protests against him. He had served as the country's President since 2008 but triggered mass demonstrations after he was named Prime Minister this month. Critics feared that he was attempting to seize power for life.
