Spring has finally sprung, the sweet smell of burning oil is in the air, and a middle aged man's fancy turns to fire and molten metal. I needed a way to attach the scraper assemblies to the crossbar of the sand muller I'm building. And I NEEDED to melt something. This is what I came up with.
My new pliers-based ingot tongs, Tong Belwas, worked great, and my waste oil burner, Lightbringer, is working as good as new now that all those nasty chunks of baby seal blubber have been cleaned out of the needle valve.

He uses routers and clever jigs to make really precise and easily repeatable lost foam casting patterns.
