Incredible Value. Intrinsically Tyler.
Wildwood Guitars is proud to introduce the James Tyler Guitar Japan line. These guitars are labor of love from Daisuke Kitahara, a long-time friend and business partner of James Tyler. Daisuke's original concept was to design an affordable James Tyler instrument exclusively for the Japanese market, but things quickly became much bigger than that! After spending years to find the right facility that would craft these instruments, Daisuke settled on ASKA, located in Nagano, Japan. The ASKA team immediately headed to Los Angeles to study James Tyler's process, using his computer CAD models to carefully recreate exact replicas of James's most popular designs. It took over a year to dial in the Studio Elite and Classic models, but it was a year well spent, because their blood, sweat and tears paid incredible dividends! These guitars are visually identical to their American counterparts, and (more importantly) they have all the heart and soul that make U.S.-born brothers so desirable. After playing them for ourselves, the Wildwood staff can confirm that these instruments are Tylers, through and through! They feature American-made James Tyler pickups, classic James Tyler body styles and the same astonishing build quality James Tyler's American guitars are revered for. Once you pick up a James Tyler Japan series instrument, we think you'll have a hard time putting it down.
"When I first opened the cases of the final prototypes and held the guitars, it completely creeped me out. I couldn't tell the difference between these guitars and the USA guitars built here in Los Angeles. I've shown these guitars to a few of my best dealers worldwide, and they are all completely blown away." - James Tyler
