Ingredients:
Makhana: 1 Cup
Ghee: 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 Tsp
Chilli Powder: 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder: 1/2 Tsp
Cumin Powder: 1/4 Tsp
Garam Masala: A Pinch
Chaat Masala: 1/4 Ttsp
Salt: 1/4 Tsp
Method:
1. Today lets check out how to make masala makhana. Makhana is also called as fox nuts or lotus seeds. It is very rich in nutrients, high in antioxidants, helps to stabilize sugar levels, helps in weight loss and have anti aging properties. This is definitely a very healthy snack recipe, so lets quickly check out the ingredients and get started.
2. Heat a pan and to this add 1 tsp of ghee. Allow the ghee to melt completely. Keep the flame in low till the end. Now to this add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of chilli powder, 1/2 tsp of coriander powder, 1/4 tsp of cumin powder and a pinch of garam masala. Mix it well and make sure the raw flavor of the spices goes off.
3. Now to this add 1 cup of makhana and mix it well. Make sure the masala is well spread in the makhana. Roast for 5 mins in low flame.
4. Its been two minutes and the makhana is half roasted, at this stage add a pinch of chaat masala and 1/4 tsp of salt. Mix it well. Continue to mix for 3 more mins.
5. Its been 5 mins and our makhana is well roasted and super crispy, so off the flame.
6. Now our delicious masala makhana is ready. Serve it hot enjoy and with your family and friends.
