The Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 7 to September 17, and the full lineup of films have been announced. As usual, TIFF is offering an eclectic selection of genre films through their Midnight Madness program, and with the festival fast approaching, this seemed like a perfect opportunity to discuss the featured films and their impact on the festival and the entertainment industry.
In this conversation, Thomas talks with festival programmer, Peter Kuplowsky, who leads programming the Midnight Madness section of TIFF. A bona fide cinephile with an extensive background in film festivals and programming, Peter sheds insight as to how he goes about the process of choosing films for the Midnight Madness program and the challenges that come with that. Additionally, he mentions some can't miss titles that you should have on your radar.
