[ Ссылка ] Here's a great video on how to catch Bluespot Coral trout, Ian catches a cracker in this video. Livebait is the key and using live fusiliers is the trick, Either use them on the bottom or lift them up a metre or two clear of the reef or under a balloon, We have caught numerous Bluespot Coral trout this way, and is the best way to target these awesome fish. Be aware they are quite a rare catch so don't over fish these awesome fish, and if possible take a photo and release. Be aware of size limits and the larger fish over 85cm are protected and have to be released. Ciguatera poisoning is a real risk in the larger fish and also would not recommend eating. Why take the risk. These are one of the most amazing fish caught on the reef, and definitely one of my favourites.
Live fusiliers can be readily caught on the reef edges and school up in the thousands and millions. These can be caught on small hooks with baits, or heaps on a bait jig. Great for flesh bait and reef fishing as well. These make us the basic food chain on the reef and everything wants to eat them.
Also always have one out the back under a balloon, as other reef fish such as Cod, Trevally and mackerel will readily take a bait.
Make sure you subscribe with a lot more under water fishng videos to come and download in High definition as you can learn heaps more about underwater fish behaviour, bottom structure and heaps more. You gotta love the Great Barrier Reef and all it has to offer.
Cheers Greg
