After a long weekend of dry washing in the desert we had done our final clean out for the day and I was getting ready to pan out the concentrates from our Gold Buddy dry washer. That's when I realized that we had forgotten our water. That got me thinking about how the Gold Claw works and I started contemplating dry panning our concentrates. I've had limited success up to this point with the technique using a conventional gold pan but I thought what the heck lets give it a try. Gold looks a lot different when it's dry so I was just about to abandon the video. I even signaled the camera man to quit shooting because I wasn't seeing any gold in the pan. When I shook the dirt back and took off my dark dust covered sunglasses I was able to see the gold we decided to finish shooting the video. My editing skills are still fairly limited so I did my best to make it look like a seamless video but it is what it is.
