A University of Utah High-Angle Rescue class was training in Big Cottonwood Canyon, SLC when a nearby climber fell ~70 feet to the ground. The class responded and this is what they saw. Despite what is said in the video, further investigation showed that the climber was top-roping clipped into the end of his rope and at the top of the climb he leaned back onto the rope expecting to be lowered by his belayer when his single locking carabiner connecting him to the rope failed.
