Kalamay lansong is a traditional filipino kakanin made from glutinous rice flour and coconut milk.
It is basically a steamed rice cake with latik as topping. Kalamay lansong recipe is easy to do and is delicious (sobrang sarap) in taste.
Kalamay lansong ingredients
2 cups coconut milk
3 cups glutinous rice flour
1 cup of sugar
latik for toppings
How to make kalamay lansong
In a mixing bowl add sugar,3 cups of glutinous rice flour. Add 2 cups of coconut milk.
Mix well until smooth and no lumps.
Pour to the baking pan ( 9 inches square)
Put in a steamer with boiling water.
Cover with lid ( wrap with kitchen cloth to avoid droplet)
Steam for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes, transfer to a plate with banana leaves.
Slice and top with latik.
