Erich Hartmann was the best fighter pilot in the history of warfare. Nicknamed "Bubi" (kid, in German), for his youthful appearance, Hartmann learnt his tricks from veteran fighter pilots and perfected them, bringing terror into the hearts of Soviet pilots of the Eastern Front. Therefore, Hartmann was, implicitly, the highest-scoring flying ace of World War Two.
