The Canon 6D Mark II, should you buy it? Here's 5 reasons you SHOULDN'T!

At this point the Canon 6D Mark II is almost 6 YEARS OLD! That's crazy! It feels like this camera just came out yesterday. Anyways, with that old age comes some old and outdated features. Autofocus, video resolution, frame rate and so much more haven't made this camera age well. And for those reasons I don't think you should buy the 6D Mark II for 2023 and beyond.

Nowadays, Canon has an entirely new mirrorless system. This system includes cameras such as the R, RP, R8, R10, and much more. However, the cameras I just listed off all fall around the same price range as the 6DM2 and have more modern updated specs and features. The Canon 6DM2's video resolution tops out at Full HD, but some if not all of those cameras can shoot in 4K. On top of that they also can shoot in much higher frame rates for both photo and video, have IBIS, and many other high end features that blow old DSLR's like the 6D Mark II completely out of the water.

So, if you're looking for a new camera, veer away from the Canon 6D Mark II. Instead, check out options in Canon's mirrorless lineup. There's a good chance you'll get more value for your money.
